Big & Rich Are Back!

After a bit of a hiatus, one of my very favorite country acts is about to hit the road again! John Rich Tweeted this morning confirming that Big & Rich will begin a summer and fall tour this June with fellow Muzik Mafia (Big & Rich's own music club) members Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy. The 2011 Xtreme Muzik tour will be the first time that John Rich and Big Kenny have worked together in three years! After both men released solo albums, many Big & Rich fans, including myself, believed it was the end of one of the most successful duos in country music history. Not so! Both did have moderate success as solo artists. Big Kenny appeared on CMT's Can You Duet, and John Rich had many appearances, most recently on Celebrity Apprentice and one solo radio hit with "Shuttin' Detroit Down." Still though, there seemed to be a void in country music with out the touring circus each summer, also know as a Big & Rich show. If you have never seen one be sure to check one out this summer, you wont regret it. Although there are only a few dates scheduled so far, Denver is one, July 2nd at the Wells Fargo Theater. Oh, and don't forget to save a horse and ride a cowboy! :)
