2014 Greeley Stampede Grand Marshals Mike & Nomie Ketterling
Brian, Susan, and I had the honor of hosting the Big Buckle Ball Saturday night. It's generally considered the kickoff event for the Greeley Stampede, which gets underway on Thursday with the PRCA Xtreme Bulls. Thousands of dollars was raised for the Stampede Foundation which gives scholarships to Weld County students.
19 scholarships have already been handed out. Plus, this year the Foundation is giving out two new art scholarships in the names of Tuffy and Shirley Holland and Stampede Grand Marshals, Mike and Nomie Ketterling. The Stampede Western Art Show Opening Night Gala is Wedesday Night.
Also, the Stampede Foundation has a new rodeo scholarship this year and they support the Miss Rodeo Colorado Program. The Grand Marshals and Miss Rodeo Colorado, Rhianna Russell, were at the event on Saturday and we have the pictures to prove it. Thanks to my lovely wife Jenny for taking the photos.
