The Town of Berthoud had a whopping 8 vehicle trespasses within a short amount of time over the weekend.

According to a news release, vehicles parked in the Mary's Farm area were burglarized between 10 p.m. Friday, September 16, and 6 a.m. Saturday, September 17. All vehicles were left unlocked and easily accessed by the suspect(s) who took off with electronics, cash, credit cards, and other miscellaneous items which were reported stolen.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office would like anyone with information regarding these vehicle trepasses to contact them at 970-416-1985 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868.

This serves as a reminder to always take precautions to prevent this from happening to you. Rolling up windows, locking doors, and not leaving valuables in plain sight in your vehicle are all simple steps to deter criminals, who usually don't risk attracting attention by breaking windows to get in. All residents are also encouraged to report any suspicious activity or persons witnessed in the community or to call 911 immediately if they see a crime in progress.
