Being a Human Beanbag Chair and Other Joys of Being a Grandparent

I had such a wonderful Christmas break. I loved being off the grid and spending time with and giving attention to those who were with me in living flesh. Spending Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with friends was so special to me. I got to experience some of the simple joys that only a grandparent or parent could imagine.

I got to see simple things like my grandchildren wearing and loving their new hats they got for Christmas.

I had the opportunity to just listen to them talk and play and sing and dance. It was so special. Some of the greatest moments were just holding each other and being held by those you love. Children give the best hugs in the world.

One of my favorite things over the break was being used as a human bean bag chair. We had sat down to watch a movie when suddenly there was a young boy with a blanket climbing up my chair and plopping down between my legs and using my belly as a head rest without speaking a word...it was priceless. The most beautiful moments in life do not cost a thing. Thank you kids.
