I took the plunge like I said I was going to: I auditioned for The Bachelor.

I can't give too many details for fear that I will lose any chance I have of getting on the show, but I will say this casting call was pretty much like any other. When I arrived, there was a line of beautiful ladies waiting outside the Hard Rock Cafe at the 16th Street Mall. Luckily the producers let us in early (at 3:30 p.m.) to check us in (and to prevent our made-up faces from melting off in the heat).

Not knowing who the next Bachelor is even going to be (though, it's probably going to be either Chase McNary or Luke Pell), I went through the following process.

Step 1: Photos

One by one, producers handed us a whiteboard that said "Denver" in the bottom right corner, and we were instructed to write our first and last name and phone number on them. Then, they took 3 photos of each of us in front of a black curtain: a close-up, one from the waist up (I think), and then *dun dun duuunnnn* the full body shot.

This is obviously not at the casting call, but here's what I looked like.

Step 2: Fill out Questionnaires

When we checked in, each girl (and guy!) was handed a packet with questions like, "Why do you want to be on The Bachelor?" and "What are your hobbies?" This packet looked familiar - it's the same one that you print off and mail in if you're unable to attend a casting call. Each packet also had a number (mine was 18). They used this number to call us up one by one to be interviewed.

Here's what the casting call looked like when we were filling out our questionnaires.

Step 3: The Interview

Producers had about 6 to 8 camera stations set up in the conference room, each one separated by a black curtain. I was interviewed by a nice, very friendly gal who kept calling me "lady," probably because she meets so many girls and didn't want to mess up my name. She mic'd me up and again, I was instructed to write my first and last name and phone number on a whiteboard that said "Denver" in the bottom right corner. The camera began rolling and I had to hold that whiteboard up like I was getting my mugshot taken for 3 seconds, and then was instructed to set it on the ground. The gal asked me about 5 to 6 basic questions including, "Have you ever been engaged or married?" "Do you have any children?" "Why do you want to be on the show?" "Give me a brief dating history," "What are your hobbies?" etc. She instructed me to repeat the question so that her voice could be edited out, and so that's what I did.

Altogether, it was a very easy experience and I'm just happy I went through the initial casting call, no matter what happens. I have always wanted to audition for The Bachelor, and this year was just perfect timing. Now it's just a waiting game to see if they love me enough to invite me to round 2 of casting interviews!

Also, shout-out to Stacy and Brooke! These 2 ladies also auditioned and they were very sweet. We bonded over - what else? - The Bachelor.

As for that nose-picking talent I showed you in my Facebook live video...well, that was pretty pointless because they never asked me to show them my talent, so I embarrassed myself for no reason. Oh well!
