Avalanches, Missing Hiker, and Snowpack in Colorado

We’ve prayed for precipitation to quench our parched state. Last weeks snow storm was a blessing even though it created some dangerous conditions. Over the weekend, 5 avalanches were reported in Colorado and one of them killed a young man near Silverton. 9 inches of new snow in Rocky Mountain National Park is hampering the search for a hiker, now missing for 4 days. Yet, snowpack is 75% of average statewide. The rest of this week will be in the 50′s. Then temperatures drop drastically on Saturday, as our next significant storm will hit this coming weekend.
