Butch

I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Growing up in such a beautiful area has given me an appreciation for what we have here, and I truly embrace the city and all of Northern Colorado. I graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting with a degree in broadcasting in 2009, and it is a dream come true to be playing music and talking on the radio to all my friends and family in Northern Colorado. I LOVE music, all kinds of music! I also love talking, all kinds of talking! If you think there is a better job for me out there, you let me know! Other than music and talking, I’m a bowler, yes a bowler, I usually get funny looks when I say that. I used to do a lot more of it, but now it's more for fun rather than a job. I am also blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Shai, who was born in June 2008, and love showing her off! My son Quinntyn was born in December of 2010, and although I have learned raising little boys is almost like having another job, I wouldn't trade him for the world. My kids have become my life, and have given me a different outlook on life than I had just a few short years ago. I really believe in the religion of love. Love everyone, be nice to everyone, and smile, and this world will be a great place to live in. I’m addicted to ice cream and donuts, and I’m a firm believer that nothings more important than family, my Dad and Grandma will always be the biggest heroes in my book for the contributions and support they have given me throughout my life. Although life seems chaotic and sometimes even hard, at the end of the day I thank my lucky stars and God for everything I have, and wouldn’t have it any other way. “We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~Frederick Keonig Find me on Facebook or Email me, Id love to hear from you!

Don’t Forget What You Have In Your Backyard

There is no denying that life is busy, and at times it is easy to take for granted what we have. After a long week filled with work, stress, kids, and whatever else you may have, it is easy to let the couch get the best of you. I am as, or more, guilty than the next guy. So sometimes it takes an experience like the one I had this weekend to remind us of just how beautiful and how much our wonderful state has to offer.

Ronnie Dunn Special Edition CD to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project Avaliable at Cracker Barrel

It has become a family tradition to go out and eat with the family on Thursday nights, and it always excites me when someone comes up with the idea to drive to Loveland to eat at the Cracker Barrel. This last Thursday was one of those nights. The atmosphere, the music, the food, it is all always great at the Cracker Barrel. The music I speak of that happened to be playing this week was the new CD that the restaurant was showcasing from a guy who happens to be coming to our neck of the woods here real soon. Ronnie Dunn and Cracker Barrel have teamed up to give us good music for a good cause.

PBS Remixed Bob Ross – Happy Little Clouds [VIDEO]

When I think of Bob Ross I think of a simpler time. TV wasn't all about having to make the hardest decision of your life by choosing between twelve beautiful woman, or rich kids in New Jersey documenting all the people they sleep with. The kids may laugh, but it was actually fun to turn on the TV and watch a guy paint! Although Bob Ross has been gone for 17 years, I haven't forgotten the times we spent together on lazy weekday afternoons. So, when I saw this song/video PBS put together I thought I would share...

K99′s Most Beautiful Guest Yet? – Maxim Model Courtney James Visits the Studio! [PICTURES,VIDEO]

The other day I was asked by a friend if I had seen the girl from Fort Collins, Courtney James, who was in Maxim Magazine. I was sad to say that I hadn't, but I was quick to do some investigating. I am a guy so needless to say i liked what I saw. A pretty girl from our area making a national magazine sounded like a good interview so I contacted her. Next thing I knew I had Courtney in my studio and I must say, I felt a little like Howard Stern!

Brian Gary – The World’s Kindest Man

Everywhere you turn there is bad news and people complaining about something, but every now and then it is nice to know that this world still has "good guys." I think everyone who has listened to K99 over the last 25 years knows that Brian Gary is one of those good guys, but most don't get to see what he does on a daily basis, like what he did yesterday that brought a tear to my eye.

Rocky Mountain National Park Lifts Fire Ban

Rain really is a good thing for more reasons than one. One of those reasons is we can now go camping and responsibly use a campfire again in Rocky Mountain National Park. The park banned all campfires last month because of the threat of wildfires in Colorado, but as of yesterday lifted part of that ban.
