Butch

I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Growing up in such a beautiful area has given me an appreciation for what we have here, and I truly embrace the city and all of Northern Colorado. I graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting with a degree in broadcasting in 2009, and it is a dream come true to be playing music and talking on the radio to all my friends and family in Northern Colorado. I LOVE music, all kinds of music! I also love talking, all kinds of talking! If you think there is a better job for me out there, you let me know! Other than music and talking, I’m a bowler, yes a bowler, I usually get funny looks when I say that. I used to do a lot more of it, but now it's more for fun rather than a job. I am also blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Shai, who was born in June 2008, and love showing her off! My son Quinntyn was born in December of 2010, and although I have learned raising little boys is almost like having another job, I wouldn't trade him for the world. My kids have become my life, and have given me a different outlook on life than I had just a few short years ago. I really believe in the religion of love. Love everyone, be nice to everyone, and smile, and this world will be a great place to live in. I’m addicted to ice cream and donuts, and I’m a firm believer that nothings more important than family, my Dad and Grandma will always be the biggest heroes in my book for the contributions and support they have given me throughout my life. Although life seems chaotic and sometimes even hard, at the end of the day I thank my lucky stars and God for everything I have, and wouldn’t have it any other way. “We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~Frederick Keonig Find me on Facebook or Email me, Id love to hear from you!

Two Greeley, Colorado Earthquakes in a Month Have Some Concerned

You expect to hear about earthquakes in San Francisco and parts of Alaska, but until recently I thought that was one of the natural disasters we least had to fear in Northern Colorado. May 31st Greeley was struck by a magnitude 3.4 tremor, and got shook by a 2.6 magnitude quake yesterday (June 23).

Six Players Elected Into the Hockey Hall of Fame, Two of Them Former Colorado Avalanche Players

The Hockey Hall of Fame may not seem as prestigious as the Baseball Hall in Cooperstown or the Football Hall in Canton, but if you spend your whole life on skates, I am sure there is no greater honor than being enshrined in Toronto. That honor came true for six former NHL players today (June 23), two of them former Colorado Avalanche stars.

Saving Yourself a Spot For Greeley’s Fourth of July Parade Won’t Be Allowed at UNC This Year

Just last year I made the joke that it wouldn't be too much longer before people started staking out their spots with tarps and blankets for the Greeley Stampede’s July 4th Parade a month early. At least in some spots, spots won't be staked out early at all this year.

The Colorado Ice Host the Conference Championship This Thursday in Loveland

If you wanted sports in Northern Colorado for a long time you had to settle for CSU and UNC athletics, which both had their runs of good seasons, but as far as pro level sports went, you'd have to make the drive down south to Denver. In the early 2000's that changed with the Budweiser Events Center coming to Loveland.

Buzzfeed Gives Us 24 Reasons Fort Collins is the Greatest City on Earth

It seems like at least once a week or more I am writing about another national top ten list that Fort Collins has made for something cool we do here. We live here, so we can sometimes take for granted how awesome it really is, but when people who don't live here say it's the greatest place in the world it's a great reminder of how lucky we are!
