Butch

I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Growing up in such a beautiful area has given me an appreciation for what we have here, and I truly embrace the city and all of Northern Colorado. I graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting with a degree in broadcasting in 2009, and it is a dream come true to be playing music and talking on the radio to all my friends and family in Northern Colorado. I LOVE music, all kinds of music! I also love talking, all kinds of talking! If you think there is a better job for me out there, you let me know! Other than music and talking, I’m a bowler, yes a bowler, I usually get funny looks when I say that. I used to do a lot more of it, but now it's more for fun rather than a job. I am also blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Shai, who was born in June 2008, and love showing her off! My son Quinntyn was born in December of 2010, and although I have learned raising little boys is almost like having another job, I wouldn't trade him for the world. My kids have become my life, and have given me a different outlook on life than I had just a few short years ago. I really believe in the religion of love. Love everyone, be nice to everyone, and smile, and this world will be a great place to live in. I’m addicted to ice cream and donuts, and I’m a firm believer that nothings more important than family, my Dad and Grandma will always be the biggest heroes in my book for the contributions and support they have given me throughout my life. Although life seems chaotic and sometimes even hard, at the end of the day I thank my lucky stars and God for everything I have, and wouldn’t have it any other way. “We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~Frederick Keonig Find me on Facebook or Email me, Id love to hear from you!

Mark Your Calender Now For Shawn Patrick’s Lures 4 Laney

I always knew I wanted to be on the radio, and I also knew that when I made it I would use my voice to help others. Well, I have been on the radio for a few years now, so it's time to help people! I can't say that I have ever felt so passionate about something like I do about this event. That is why I would love for you to clear July 15th off of your calendar and make plans to join me at Water Valley in Windsor for my 1st Annual Lures 4 Laney.

It’s National Prime Rib Day, Who Has the Best? [POLL]

Every morning when I get to the station there is an email waiting in my inbox telling me what has happened on this day in history, whose birthday it is, and also what "day" it is. There is a "day" for just about everything, and if I told you what "day" it was everyday it would probably get kind of annoying. From National Unicorn Day to National Eat Your Veggies Day, its gets to be a little much. Today though, is a special day for carnivores like myself. National Prime Rib Day! In celebration I ask you where the best prime rib is at?

Randy Travis Gives Shawn Patrick’s Grandma the Gift of a Lifetime

To me, there is nothing more important in this short life we live then to make those you love know that you love them everyday. My family always did a great job showing me as I was growing up, and now that I am capable, I strive to return the favor. To show my love to my grandmother, I took her to see one of her favorite musicians, Randy Travis, this last weekend at the Union Colony Civic Center. What happened that night was magical, and is a memory I know she will carry for the rest of her life as will I.

As you may have seen now I have been doing these daily video blogs, most of them humorous, but yesterday more serious. Shawn’s Sludge- Eating Competitions [VIDEO]

I had so much fun yesterday with episode #6, that for #7 I invited my buddies Beano, Danny Joe, and Brian back to join me in trying to break the world record for most Twinkies consumed in one minute. Takeru Kobayashi holds the record at 14, but even if we don't break the record, the man who eats the fewest has to get a Twinkie Tattoo (seriously!)!
