Butch

I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Growing up in such a beautiful area has given me an appreciation for what we have here, and I truly embrace the city and all of Northern Colorado. I graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting with a degree in broadcasting in 2009, and it is a dream come true to be playing music and talking on the radio to all my friends and family in Northern Colorado. I LOVE music, all kinds of music! I also love talking, all kinds of talking! If you think there is a better job for me out there, you let me know! Other than music and talking, I’m a bowler, yes a bowler, I usually get funny looks when I say that. I used to do a lot more of it, but now it's more for fun rather than a job. I am also blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Shai, who was born in June 2008, and love showing her off! My son Quinntyn was born in December of 2010, and although I have learned raising little boys is almost like having another job, I wouldn't trade him for the world. My kids have become my life, and have given me a different outlook on life than I had just a few short years ago. I really believe in the religion of love. Love everyone, be nice to everyone, and smile, and this world will be a great place to live in. I’m addicted to ice cream and donuts, and I’m a firm believer that nothings more important than family, my Dad and Grandma will always be the biggest heroes in my book for the contributions and support they have given me throughout my life. Although life seems chaotic and sometimes even hard, at the end of the day I thank my lucky stars and God for everything I have, and wouldn’t have it any other way. “We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~Frederick Keonig Find me on Facebook or Email me, Id love to hear from you!

Why Is Shawn Patrick’s Face Black? [VIDEO]

I really wish I had a more neat story to tell the people who come up and ask about the "dirt" on my face, but it is a quite simple one. We are giving away a brand new 2012 Nissan Titan Crew Cab 4×4 on K99, and the guys around the building are growing truck beards (if that's what you want to call them) until we give that sucker away. I took my beard to the next level again last night and made 'er black! And now the world knows why Shawn Patrick's face is black.

What the Heck is Breasts of Colorado?

Ok, get the jokes out here... Actually it is no joke at all, and  has nothing to do with adult entertainment. Breasts of Colorado is an event to raise money for breast cancer patients. Volunteers will have casts made of their breasts. Then artists will paint the casts and the proceeds will raise money for Sense of Security, a Colorado charity that helps people going through breast cancer treatment pay their bills.

Don’t Be a Litter Bug!

As I do on the regular these days, I opened up my computer and went on Facebook this morning. The first post that showed up was a picture from Red Rocks. The picture which you see above was taken last night after the electronic, dub step musician, Flux Pavilion put on a show. Red Rocks said this about the picture; "Friendly reminder to clean up after yourselves when you visit the amphitheater. HUGE shout-out to those employees and volunteers who help make the park sparkle again (even in the rain)!" My HUGE shout-out goes to the people who made the mess... Clean up after yourself!

Ever Watch the Movie ’8 Seconds?’ Lane Frost The Legend Lives On 22 Years Later [VIDEO]

With the Championship Bull Riding (CBR) making it's way back to the Budweiser Events Center Saturday, I figured it was a good time to revisit an article I wrote last July. I had the opportunity to interview Tuff Hedeman, the president of the CBR and one of the main characters from the movie 8 Seconds, yesterday. Here is the heart wrenching story of his best friend Lane Frost...

What Are You Doing During Our National Anthem?

Now before I begin this rant, you have to remember I am probably the least political man you will ever meet, so take that for what it's worth. This problem I have noticed has went on for sometime, but hit it's boiling point with me this Saturday night. Think for a second when the last time you heard the National Anthem at an event. What were you doing while it was being sung/played? What should we be doing?

Craig Jackson Helps Usher In a New Kind of Bull Rider

When you think bull rider typically you think cowboy with some tight Wranglers, a pearl snap shirt, and a southern draw. Think what you want, but times they are a changin'. Although black bull riders has played an instrumental part in rodeos since the late 1800s with guys like Bill Pickett, Jesse Stahl, and Charles Sampson, it seems the only sport outside of hockey with fewer African-American participants had to be rodeo. Not only is Championship Bull Rider Craig Jackson helping to continue knocking down the racial barrier in the sport, but he is bringing a whole new culture with him.

Is There Anything Better Than JB’s in Greeley?

I recently put together a list of the best burgers in Northern Colorado and JB's in Greeley topped that list. OK, so we have established they have a good burger, but it is more than just good burgers at JB's. As I went on my weekly dinner outing with my grandma last night to, you guessed it, JB's, I realized what the little drive in on 8th Ave. and 25th St. means to me!
