Butch

I was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. Growing up in such a beautiful area has given me an appreciation for what we have here, and I truly embrace the city and all of Northern Colorado. I graduated from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting with a degree in broadcasting in 2009, and it is a dream come true to be playing music and talking on the radio to all my friends and family in Northern Colorado. I LOVE music, all kinds of music! I also love talking, all kinds of talking! If you think there is a better job for me out there, you let me know! Other than music and talking, I’m a bowler, yes a bowler, I usually get funny looks when I say that. I used to do a lot more of it, but now it's more for fun rather than a job. I am also blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Shai, who was born in June 2008, and love showing her off! My son Quinntyn was born in December of 2010, and although I have learned raising little boys is almost like having another job, I wouldn't trade him for the world. My kids have become my life, and have given me a different outlook on life than I had just a few short years ago. I really believe in the religion of love. Love everyone, be nice to everyone, and smile, and this world will be a great place to live in. I’m addicted to ice cream and donuts, and I’m a firm believer that nothings more important than family, my Dad and Grandma will always be the biggest heroes in my book for the contributions and support they have given me throughout my life. Although life seems chaotic and sometimes even hard, at the end of the day I thank my lucky stars and God for everything I have, and wouldn’t have it any other way. “We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”  ~Frederick Keonig Find me on Facebook or Email me, Id love to hear from you!

Creedence Clearwater Revisited Get the Greeley Stampede Rockin’ Tonight

Sure, that title there doesn't say Creedence Clearwater Revival, it says Creedence Clearwater Revisted. So it's not the same CCR we have come to know, but it is still CCR. The revisited version of CCR doesn't have the Fogerty brothers, but does feature the other two original CCR members. Tonight they bring the songs we have come to love off the more than 26 million albums they have sold to the Greeley Stampede.

The Colorado Ice Season Ends With a Loss In the First Round of the Playoffs

The Tri-Cities Fever have not been very nice to the Colorado Ice lately. That trend continued last night in Kennewick, Washington as the Fever bounced the Ice from the playoffs and ended their season for the second year in a row with a 52-42 win in the first round of the Indoor Football League (IFL) Playoffs.

If you have lived in Northern Colorado long enough it has just become a fact of life that each summer you are going to have to deal with itchy, bumps caused by mosquito bites. But over the last few years the little pests have gotten much more scary with the threat of West Nile Virus looming. Bug sprays, citronella torches, they all can help but don't solve the problem. Shawn’s Demolition Derby Experiences [PICTURES]

Growing up in Greeley meant that the end of June and beginning of July was time for fun. The Greeley Stampede was a tradition for my family and I, and like many one of my favorite events growing up was the demolition derby. My uncle, Donny Steinmetz, always drove the K99 car and watching as a little kid I knew someday I too wanted to drive in the derby. My dream came true a few times.

Why Is Shawn Patrick’s Face Black? [VIDEO]

I really wish I had a more neat story to tell the people who come up and ask about the "dirt" on my face, but it is a quite simple one. We are giving away a brand new 2012 Nissan Titan Crew Cab 4×4 on K99, and the guys around the building are growing truck beards (if that's what you want to call them) until we give that sucker away. I took my beard to the next level again last night and made 'er black! And now the world knows why Shawn Patrick's face is black.
