The Colorado Rockies (25-41) continue to struggle, losing last night for the 11th time in 12 games, 7-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies (32-37). Colorado also announced yesterday that it was sending Jeremy Guthrie to the bullpen, and will go with a four man rotation for the foreseeable future. The Colorado Rockies (25-40) open a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies (31-37) tonight in Philly. The Rockies enter the series having lost 10 of their last 11, and the Phillies are coming off a series sweep by Toronto. Tigers Shut Out Rockies 5-0 in Series Finale

It was another quiet day at the plate as Colorado Rockies (25-40) hitters struck out 13 times, and were unable to produce any runs en rout to a 5-0 road loss in the interleague series finale against the Detroit Tigers (32-34) yesterday afternoon in Motown. The Rockies are off today before opening a three-game series in Philadelphia tomorrow night.
