The Board of Larimer County Commissioners has adopted fire restrictions on Open Fires, use of fireworks and Public Fireworks Displays beginning at 12:01 a.m. this Thursday, April 12, 2012 for unincorporated Larimer County.

CSU Student Group Plans ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ Relay to Help Women Gain Self-Esteem
Design and Merchandising students at CSU are teaming up to present a fundraiser relay walk for charity on April 15th. “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” will be held at the Colorado State University Oval and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on the 15th.
The event will benefit Able Women’s Career Closet, a charity that helps women gain self esteem for job interviews and helps them with appropriate clothing
Entire Wyoming Town Sold for $900,000
Just north of the Colorado/Wyoming border is a one man town. Yup, Buford, Wyoming, population 1. The entire town was auctioned off and sold for $900,000 on Thursday. Included in the town is a gas station with convenience store and a modular home. The one man town covers just over ten acres between Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming.
City of Greeley Joining Nationwide Challenge to be ‘Water Wise’
We have all heard that conserving natural resources is a good thing. During the month of April it could mean prizes for you, including a new car. Greeley Mayor, Tom Norton is encouraging Greeley residents to conserve water, save energy and reduce pollution during the month of April. In returen, residents can win a new Toyota Prius, water saving fixtures and other prizes.

Town of Windsor Asked for Permission to Build an Explosive Devices Bunker
The Town of Windsor has received a request from an oilfield company to build a place to store explosives and radioactive materials near the Budweiser Events Center.
A Houston, TX company has applied for a town permit to build a small storage facility east of I-25 and north of Crossroads Blvd. The company uses explosive and radioactive materials to explore gas and oil deposits and map them.
