D Dennison

D Dennison has shared her loved for country music with K99 since 2003 and brings over 20 years of experience to the playground every day. She is a quirky, rambling woman who brightens up our workdays Monday through Friday from 10-3. D is never too embarrassed to admit she doesn’t know something or that she had a brain freeze  in mid-sentence. Winner of the Colorado Broadcasters Association DJ of the year for her time slot in 2010, D Dennison is a strong addition to our K99 family.   Personally, D has shared her life intimately with her K99 family through the 28 hours of Hope and continues to grow and thrive. She is married to a man she frequently refers to as “My James” and is the mother of four, Zachariah, Natasha, Ashley and Colton. While the two eldest are out of the house and carving their own paths in Fort Collins, Ashley and Colton have made the journey to another world, but before leaving this one made a huge impact on our community through their charitable efforts, kind words and desire to make this a better place for all.  They are missed, but the work that they did, the lives they influence continue to impact our "everydays" and for that they will be remembered endlessly.

Cast Iron Skillets: D’s Year Long Wait and a Video She Couldn’t Stop Watching[VIDEO]

I don't know about you, but when I think of a cast iron skillet I think of my mom. My mom made the best ever fried chicken and when she used her cast iron skillet it was even better. I had always wanted a cast iron skillet, but had never purchased one.

Ode to Fort Collins

If you live in Greeley, Loveland, Eaton or Miliken I appreciate your town too. Oh, shoot, I appreciate all of northern Colorado. I live in Fort Collins and can't say enough good things about our 'little' town. What can you say about your town? I want to hear all the things that make it your town and why you love living there.

Recipe Rescue: Southwest Chicken Salad

Warmer weather means lighter dinners and bbq's and snacking. This recipe is good to take as a side dish to a bbq or for a lighter dinner. (lighter in that it's not a heavy pot roast and potatoes, not necessarily lighter in the calorie department)

No Protection for Marijuana Smokers on the Job, How Does That Make you Feel?

At first when I heard the news I was oh, and then I started learning more about it. I couldn't wait to talk to you about it and get your opinion. Others may tackle the subject, but each of us are different and it is our differences that bring us together, so what say you?
