What's up, Internet? I'm Drew, and I'm a radio DJ...who also blogs. Which is awesome. Not many kids decide they want to be a radio DJ when they grow up, but I made that call when I was about 12 (after I'd grown out of the traditional "astronaut," "scientist," and "fireman" phases). I left my hometown of Aurora to come study journalism at CSU, determined to make my dream come true. That was 10 years ago. Now, I'm on the air, I have my very own blog, and I don't think I'd leave Fort Collins if you paid me (well, you'd have to pay me A LOT). Basically I'm living the dream, and it's amazing. So thanks for listening to me on the radio, and thanks for reading my blog!

How to Keep Squirrels from Getting Into Your Bird Feeder
I've seen a lot of complex methods for keeping our furry "friends" away from the bird seed (a motion-sensor attached to a garden hose is probably my favorite); but this solution might be a little cheaper and easier. Actually, it definitely is.
CSU Plans to Open Brewery On Fort Collins Campus [VIDEO]
When I first visited CSU as a high school student, the tour guide was very enthusiastic about the fact that CSU was one of the last colleges in the nation to still serve alcohol on its campus. Larimer County to Hold Public Meetings in Fort Collins & Loveland Regarding Marijuana Stores
I've been following the whole legal marijuana debate pretty closely; not because I'm for or against pot, but because I'm anxious to see where we, as a state, end up on the other side of this brand new legislation. So I'm happy to see that Larimer County is turning its ear to the people to help make some major decisions.
Fort Collins Water Restrictions Still Likely Despite April Snowstorms [VIDEO]
As I watched that 15 inches of snow pile up last week, the only thing that kept me sane was the knowledge that all this moisture must be helping the drought. While experts confirm that's true, we're still going to have water restrictions this Summer.
CDOT Releases Summer Road Construction Schedule
It feels like road work never really stops around here; but it's obviously more frequent in the summertime. It's a good thing the Colorado Department of Transportation is providing us with a road work schedule, so at least we'll know exactly which days we're going to be furiously death-gripping our steering wheels!

After the tragedy in Boston, it stands to reason that people all over the country are a little on-edge when it comes to bomb threats. So I can't say I'm surprised that Berthoud police evacuated part of their downtown area this morning when somebody reported unattended bags at the community center.
