Brian Gary

Over the past 23 years Brian Gary has been teamed up with Todd Harding as “The Good Morning Guys” on K99. Susan Moore has been a valuable part of the team for the past 10 years. 2010 has been a good year for the show. The Good Morning Guys are CMA award winners (2008) for Small Market Personality of the year. They were finalists again this year.  They were also finalists for the CRB-Country Aircheck Awards presented at Country Radio Seminar and  finalists for the CRB Radio Humanitarian Awards. They also won a certificate of merit this year at the Colorado Broadcasters Awards for Best Morning Show in a Major Market.

Brian and Todd are very proud of the work they have been able to do in the community. Brian and Todd hosted over 30 events this past year for some of their favorite causes and non-profits. Their “28 Hours of Hope” has raised over $500,000 in the past decade for child abuse prevention in Northern Colorado.Las year’s event raised over $60,000 for A Kid’s Place, Namaqua Center, and the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center. Through the 28 Hours they have also developed relationships with some of the biggest names in country music.

Both Brian and Todd had very limited experience in radio before coming to K99 over two decades ago. Brian was a DJ at Y93 in Bismark, North Dakota for a couple years before coming to Northern Colorado. Todd got his Start at KMXX in Sterling, CO while attending school at Northeastern Junior College. They both arrived at KUAD in 1987. They were thrust together on the Morning Show in the Spring of 1989 and soon after became the Good Morning Guys. Susan Moore joined the team in 2001 as the News Chick and now is considered one of the “Guys”. Susan began at XL93 – Middays in Grand Forks, ND (1981-85)…then on to KPXR in Anchorage, AK (1986-88)… KSON -San Diego, CA (1988-89)…Satellite Personality at Drake Chenault Jones in Denver, CO (1990-91)…Mornings and News at KTRR, Fort Collins (1991-present).

Brian has been Married to Kylafor 26 years.  He  has two kids, Nick and Vanessa, and a grandson, Zander! He also has 2 Pugs, Oprah and Mini, and a dog named Chevy. He has lived in Greeley since leaving North Dakota over 20 years ago! Brian loves his Minnesota Vikings and George Strait.

Todd has been married to Jenny for 17 years. They have 2 cats, Chudley and Morgan. They live in Fort Collins! Todd loves the Broncos and Rams and just knows they are about to turn things around! Oh, and he loves show tunes too!

Susan is married to Dr. Bob. She is the ultimate horse lover.  She has numerous horses and poodles and resides in Timnath. The number of horses and dogs changes too often to mention them all!

28 Hours of Hope Has Impact On Jail Inmate – Brian’s Blog

I wrote yesterday about how a letter from a young man named Chance has a real impact on me during the 28 Hours of Hope this year. Today I came into work to find another example of writing that moved me. We received a letter from the Weld County jail from an inmate that touched me.

The Best 28 Hours of Hope Of All – Brian’s Blog

We ended up raising nearly $80,000 with this years 28 Hours of Hope and I can't say thank you enough. What an event it was. I am so honored that we get to do this each year and feel what is the heart of northern Colorado. We live in an amazing community of giving people.

Why I Do The 28 Hours Of Hope – Brian’s Blog

This is Super Bowl week for me. I have achieved many things in career but creating the 28 Hours Of Hope is the greatest thing I have been a part of. I was fortune to be raised by the most wonderful parents a child could ask for so I cannot imagine the horror of child abuse.

“King Of The Road” Still Rules After Nearly 50 Years – Brian’s Blog [VIDEO]

I have mentioned many times that I was raised in a house filled with laughter and music. My parents were always playing records on the stereo and one of the first songs I ever remember learning the words to and sing along with was Roger Miller's "King Of The Road".
