I was born and bred here in Colorado. I grew up in Longmont, graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins back in 2003, (Go Rams!) and have been working in radio here ever since. I have a wonderful wife, two pembroke welsh corgis, and a daughter that came into this world in 2012. I love being a part of this Northern Colorado community and all that it has to offer. I have a penchant for hot wings, scooters, super heroes and all things ‘geeky.’ But I'll try just about anything to keep life exciting. (Except for seafood. Never liked it, never will.) Flooding Hitting Milliken Hard, HWY 257 Bridge Washed Out, Animals Stranded
Scary pictures of animals stranded in the flood waters of Milliken, Colorado. The video above was from my in-laws of flooding happening from the bridge at Weld County Roads 17 & 52 taken this afternoon. An incredible amount of water is moving through the rivers and I fear we're going to hear more bad news before we start hearing good news.
Colorado Flood Washes Out Highway 34 [PICTURES]
The devastation being wrought on by this floodwater is almost incomprehensible. Highway 34 has pretty much been completely washed out above Loveland's Dam Store in the Big Thompson Canyon.

The flooding continues in Colorado today, I snapped some pictures on the way to work today from Timnath and Windsor around noon. It's nothing like the devastation seen in some of the mountain towns, but is certainly an awe-inspiring amount of water where water just normally...isn't.

Mudslide Mitigation Work Could Mean Delays On Highway 14 In Poudre Canyon
If you travel on Highway 14 in the Poudre Canyon, you might be in for some serious traffic delays in the coming months. According to 9News, the Colorado Department of Transportation will be doing over 2-million dollars in work to prevent mudslides on the road in the High Park Fire burn-area.
