If you're looking for a car to get you from A to B, then this is that car. As long as you know you may arrive at B before you even finish saying the letter A.

Several reporters were invited to Italy's Misano Circuit to give the Audi R18 e-tron quattro a test drive. And this test drive was not your garden variety "going to the Subaru dealer to find a new hatchback for the kids" kind. The reporters put their pens and paper down long enough to take four laps around and figure out what makes the R18 17 numbers better than the R1.

Dickie Meaden was one of the lucky few who got to give it a whirl and he explained what makes the car so darned special. As Meaden says, the R18 separates itself by its "braking and through high speed corners." It's also Audi's first hybrid racing car.
