Army Sgt. 1st Class Ryan J. Savard - Died October 13, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 29, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died Oct. 13 in Khanabad district, Afghanistan, from wounds caused by small-arms fire.

Army Sgt. Thomas R. MacPherson - Died October 12, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 26, of Long Beach, Calif.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died Oct. 12 in Andar district, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by small-arms fire.

Navy Cmdr. Joel Del Mundo Tiu - Died October 12, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 48, of Manila, the Philippines; assigned to Logistics Forces, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Manama, Bahrain; died Oct. 12 as a result of non-combat injuries.

Also killed was Army Warrant Officer Joseph L. Schiro, 27, of Coral Springs, Fla.

Navy Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Milton W. Brown - Died October 4, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 28, of Dallas, Texas; assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 137, Lemoore, Calif.; died Aug. 4 from a non-combat illness in Rota, Spain.
