An unidentified cyclist was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies after being hit by a car on Saturday (July 30, 2016) evening. According to the Coloradoan, the cyclists rode through a red light at the intersection of Lemay and Carpenter, when it was hit by an eastbound car that had the right of way. The accident occurred around 10:53 p.m. Saturday evening, and the cyclist was transported to the hospital with "serious injuries." The 24-year-old woman driving the 2004 Buick sedan was not injured in the accident.
