‘Angry Birds’ Downloaded 6.5 Million Times Christmas Day

All I wanted for Christmas was a smartphone or tablet and ‘Angry Birds?’ According to a report from All Things D, the popular mobile game was downloaded 6.5 million times Christmas Day.

“We’re really excited to have such a massive number of new people get acquainted with Angry Birds over the holidays,” Ville Heijari, a spokesman for Rovio, told the website.

The report says downloads included both free and paid versions of the game, as well as expansions Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.

I have to say, ‘Angry Birds’ can be quite addicting, and for me, quite challenging on some levels and fun all at the same time.
