American Military Family Hosting Another Care Package Party

American Military Family (AMF) is hosting another care package party, November 16th, to help bring some joy and comfort to our deployed troops overseas.

These events are very family oriented and a great way to show support to those deployed overseas. The VFW's Junior Auxiliary will be having a soup/bake sale during the party as well and it's only $2 for all you can eat.

The care package party will be held in Golden at the VFW #4171 Post (15625 W. 10th Ave.) from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Did I mention lunch is only $2?

Some of the items needed are:

• Travel size q-tips and wet wipes
• Travel size bottles of shaving cream, foot powder, shampoo etc.
• DVD's, handheld games, magazines, books etc.
• Boot socks, undershirts and flip-flops
• Ear phones, ear buds, music CD's etc.
• Drink packets of Kool-Aid, lemonade, fruit punches etc.
• Canned tuna, chicken and can openers
• Hard candy and snacks of any kind
• Dried fruit and trail mix
• Shelled peanuts and sunflower seeds
• Monetary donations to help with postage
