How to sum up my jaw-dropped viewing of this time-lapse video of the Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs? “Wow” pretty much sums it up.
This guy set up a tripod on his deck for five days, capturing non-stop footage of the fire as it crept into Colorado Springs. Check it out below.
Five days on destruction, condensed into 16-minutes. I think this video could finally put into perspective just how massive this fire is and how much destruction it is causing.
It starts getting really incredible about 8 1/2 minutes in once the flames come over the ridge.
Amazing and terrifying all at the same time.
My heart goes out to everyone in the fire’s path, and to all those trying to stop it.
