All Greeley/Evans District 6 schools to be CLOSED Monday, September 16th, because of all of the flooding in the Evans area.  Earlier today, District 6 officials had made the decision to have school, but that decision has been reversed.

District administration will continue to monitor flood related issues to determine class schedule for the rest of the week.

District 6 strives to provide a quality education in a safe environment for over 19,000 students. We are working closely with the City of Evans, the City of Greeley and Weld County Government, including the health department, to make sure our schools will be safe and operable for all of our students. No district buildings have been physically damaged by the flood.
To plan for the needs of our families and students, all certified staff and front office staff will report to school sites and all 12-month staff to report to work sites. District employees should contact their direct supervisors with any questions. Any district employees who are directly affected by the flood are asked to contact their direct supervisor or Kevin Aten, Chief Human Resources Officer.
Members of our Welcome Center will be coordinating today and Monday with families staying at the evacuation center, located at the Greeley Recreation Center, to schedule transportation to and from their schools.
People can help by donating and volunteering by calling 2-1-1. United Way of Weld County is working with the Community Foundation to accept monetary donations.
