Waylon Jennings was one of my musical heroes. Waylon did things his own way. He was a long haired rebel who was one of the original outlaws of country music and helped shape the way it is heard and seen today. On this date in 2002 we lost Waylon as he lost his battle with diabetes at the age of 64. I remember cranking his 8-tracks in my stereo system and blasting his music at our parties. He was the soundtrack to many of my wild and younger days and country music would not be what it is without his influence. Here are a few of my favorite Waylon tunes of all time. Starting with my personal anthem "I've Always Been Crazy". Enjoy!
