This is going to be a hard day to get through thanks to Todd Harding. You know that inevitably these things are going to happen and it is all part of life but it is still so sad to goodbye. We lost a valued member of the K99 family today as Todd Harding carelessly killed Wilson the volleyball.

For quite some time now, a mature looking volleyball has lived under the steps in the parking lot of the radio station. Each morning I pull into my space at work and am greeted by the sight of this weathered old volleyball that lives under the stairs. It was a few weeks ago that I pulled up and noticed the volleyball was missing. Then I looked on the stairs and it was sitting there, with a now painted on red face just like the one in the movie "Castaway", staring at me. I still don't know who painted him. I laughed and patted him and went in for the day. Wilson has sat there and greeted me ever since.

Today I pulled up and Wilson was laying in the parking lot in the space next to mine. I had my arms full and told myself I would go out later this morning and set Wilson back up on the stairs to continue his task as the station mascot and greeter. I should have done it immediately. I had no idea of the horror that was about to occur. I was sitting here in the studio a little before 4 am when I heard a muffled "boom" coming from outside the building. I went out to see Todd saying "I think I just killed Wilson" and found his flattened lifeless body under Todd's truck. I am beside myself with sadness. You don't often find a volleyball friend like Wilson and I will never forget our time together and how I would look forward to seeing his kind of creepy looking face every morning. Goodbye Wilson. I love you and will not forget you. I will make sure Todd Harding pays for what he did to you...I promise.
