When everything should be green the National Weather Service tells us to our warning is red.

Just as the tulips (and daffodils) are springing into action the wind roars through our gardens.  Not too much of a big deal for the tulips just yet as they are just starting to take a peak at our yards from their winter slumber, but I believe we have donated enough time this year already to the wind.

As it is though, its time to button down the hatches and keep the Chihuahuas in doors.

The National Weather service has issued a red flag warning for Larimer County below 6000 feet and Northwest Weld County.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS AND FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.

The strong wind warning is in effect until 11:30 p.m. tonight, March 17, 2012.
