A Mother’s Wish
Last year Mothers Day fell on May 8th, the day my mother died. It was just like her to punctuate her life with that grand exit .
The last year has been quite a journey without this most powerful woman in my life.
She did, however, leave me well equipped to handle the sorrow of her death. From it
I’ve gotten stronger, more particular about how I spend my time, and more grateful
for each day. Her greatest wish for me was to be happy.
The tulip bulbs I took from her flower garden are now in bloom at my house, a pretty reminder that she is here with me.
