The City of Greeley started another water main project on Monday, May 4 that could take  up more than a month to complete. Alternate routes may be advised during the course of the project.

The project in question is to replace an existing water main and adding new ones on 30th Avenue between 6th Street and 10th Street.

When construction begins, the project will travel south to north. Traffic control will consist of road closures to through traffic. As each section is completed, the traffic control will be removed. Residents and businesses in the area will be notified of temporary water shut downs during construction.

To make it even better, all the maneater potholes on 30th Avenue will also be repaired. Then when things get back to normal there, the whole roadway will have an overlay before the end of the Summer. Not sure why it can't all be done at the same time so be prepared for more construction in that area before the snow flies and I apologize for using the "S" word here in May.

Questions or concerns can be directed to Water Distribution Superintendent, Jeff Littell, by calling 970-350-9319.
