You probably didn't hear these songs at any weddings last Summer, but I can guarantee you'll hear every single one of them at every Colorado wedding this year.

Of course, you'll also be hearing wedding favorites like "Living on a Prayer," "Friends in Low Places," "Don't Stop Believin'," "Single Ladies," and "Baby Got Back," among others. But these are new-er songs that you'll be hearing at weddings for the first time this season.

"Can't Help Falling in Love" by Haley Reinhart

    EVERYBODY'S FAVORITE COVER SONG

You can't go wrong with this modern cover of a classic Elvis Presley love song. Kudos to the wedding DJs that understand people want THIS version and not Elvis' when someone pencils it in as their request during cocktail hour.

"Hold On Forever" by Rob Thomas

    100% MOM APPROVED FEEL-GOOD TUNE

I guarantee this will get all the moms in a lovely mom mood, and every one of them will say, "Oh my gosh, Rob Thomas is just so cute. Why couldn't [bride's name] have married him instead? If she doesn't want him, I'll take him..."

"MOM STAAHHHHP. ROB THOMAS IS ALREADY MARRIED, OMGGGG."

    "In Your Arms" by Chef'Special

    THE UPLIFTING DINNER MUSIC SONG

Nothing says "love is in the air" more than this sweet song.

"Die a Happy Man" by Thomas Rhett

    THE FIRST DANCE COUNTRY SONG

You'll actually hear a LOT of country songs at every Colorado wedding this summer, both new and old (you might be surprised by who's actually into country!). "Die a Happy Man" is particularly on my radar as far as wedding songs go because there's also a pop version featuring Tori Kelly that is very worthy of being played at weddings this Summer, as well.

"Roses" by The Chainsmokers feat. ROZES

    THE DANCE-Y SONG

Dinner's over, but the drinks are still pouring...it's time to dance to a song about loving someone that probably doesn't love you back (but it still sounds like a love song)! The DJ will more than likely play a bad remix of the song, but all the youngin's will sing along anyway.

"Can't Stop the Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake

    THE OBLIGATORY JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE SONG

The wedding would NOT be complete without a new Summertime jam by Justin Timberlake!

  • 7

"Make Me Like You" by Gwen Stefani

THE SONG ALL NEW COUPLES WILL DANCE TO

There's no doubt there'll be a lot of new couples in attendance who are just as awkward and/or mismatched together as #TeamBlakeandGwen. Instead of wondering, why did I allow my BFF Sheila to have a +1? Her date is such a loser weirdo, just let them...dance.

    This one's for them. Cheers!

    "Hide Away" by Daya

    THE GARTER AND BOUQUET TOSS

This is just too perfect of a song for the occasion NOT to play during the garter and bouquet toss.

  • 9

"Cake by the Ocean" by DNCE

THE SONG THEY CUT THE CAKE TO

The title says it all: this song must be played as the bride and groom (or groom and groom, bride and bride, etc.) cut the cake.

    The Cupid Shuffle

BECAUSE THIS *NEEDS* TO BE INCLUDED

It doesn't matter if you're young or you're old...we gone show you how it go.
