I have always fantasized about putting on the gear one more time and playing football. I still have plenty of eligibility left and wondered if I could go back to school and actually suit up for a game...then I realize I am over 50 and that just could never happen..or could it?

It not only could but did just happen to 55 year old Joe Thomas Sr. Joe, whose son happens to play for the Green Bay Packers had always dreamed of suiting up and playing Division 1 college football and South Carolina State University made that happen this past weekend. Joe, at the age of 55, became the oldest player ever to play in game when he carried the ball for a 3 yard gain against Savannah State. Way to go Joe. It's never too late to live out those dreams.
