It seems there are so many options for beer in Colorado, you might not even know where to start. When I was first introduced to craft beer, I started out with the main staples like New Belgium and Odell.

Year have past and beers have been drank from all over the country and the world. My palate prefers beers from my home state of Colorado. I don't know why this is, but it's just how it happened to work out. Now, there are some great beers from all over the country and it shows by what is being bought and how much from each brewery. Beer Street Journal has released the list of the top 50 breweries by sales for 2016 and Colorado has 5 breweries on the list.

Here is the break down for Colorado breweries that made the list:

48 - Avery Brewing Company - Boulder

44 - Left Hand Brewing Company - Longmont

27 - Odell Brewing Company - Fort Collins

10 - Oskar Blues Brewing Company - Longmont

4 - New Belgium Brewing Company - Fort Collins

Colorado takes home 10% of the top 50! Congratulations to these breweries here in our state and others across the nation. If you would like to check out the entire list you can do so at BeerStreetJournal.com
