I admit that I tend to remember old fast food commercials better than I do state capitals or important things. I can sing old Burger King or McDonald's jingles but can't point to South Africa on a map. It is sad but true.

One of the most memorable ad campaigns of all time were the Wendy's commercials with Clara Peller asking "Where's the beef?" This would become a catchphrase like nothing we had seen before. The ad made it's debut on this date in 1984 and you still hear the phrase uttered frequently today. Here is that original ad. Now I want a frosty and a double with ketchup and cheese.
