1986 was a big year. It was the year I got married and became a husband and then a father. Those are some pretty big accomplishments. While I was soaring high, Geraldo Rivera was sinking low on live TV solving the mystery of what was inside Al Capone's vault. I remember being riveted to the television to see what Geraldo would find. Would it be a bunch of bodies? Some cash? Gold? How about some dust and a bottle.

This was the biggest disappointment of the year, aside from our wedding night according to my wife, and we witnessed it live. Here is part of the show that had us glued to the screen in hopes of seeing something breathtaking and then left with an abundance of disappointment. I thought I would throw in David Lee Murphy's "Dust on the Bottle" as a proper tribute to the failure that occurred on this date in 1986.
