There is nothing that means more to me than our children, so when there is a child that is hurting or needs our help I love nothing more than to lend my hand. The Kevin Risk Memorial Benefit Run was designed just for that reason -- to help kids in need. This year the funds raised will benefit 4-year-old Nasyah who is one of only 200 kids in the U.S. battling a disorder called Partial Trisomy 9. Join us September 9th for a day of fun and to help out one of our children that is in need.

The run, which is NOT just for motorcycles but cars as well, starts at the LaSalle Eagles (601 N. 2nd St.) and registration goes from 9am-11am. Breakfast will be available as well. From LaSalle the run heads north to Steven's Grill in Eaton. Then on to Dick's Tavern in Ault. From Dick's to Bruce's in Severance, to the Burnout Grill in Milliken, and then ends up at the New Plantation in Greeley.

The after party at the New Plantation will feature prizes for the three best poker hands, door prizes, a live auction, and dinner will be available.

A small fee of $20 will enter you into the run and you can also purchase additional poker hands for $5. The funds raised go to helping Nasyah get a new g-tube which is what feeds her through her stomach and currently needs to be relocated.

Nasyah's Story-

Nasyah was born on November 12th, 2007 twos months premature and immediately faced a slurry of health issues. She didn't make it a day on earth before she faced her first surgery and had five more within her first four months. Nasyah called Children's Hospital home for more than 3 months. Her diagnosis -- Partial Trisomy 9, one of only 200 cases in the whole United States.

Today Nasyah battles many physical issues including, breathing problems, a poor immune system, digestive issues among many others. Nasyah can roll, but cant walk. All of her joints are loose, so her parts can pop out of place rather easily, and her speech comes and goes. Through all of her struggles, Nasyah's parents say that she is a happy 4-year-old who is one tough cookie.

Join us to help Nasyah and have fun doing it September 9th. More more info contact Darin at (970) 381-6466 or Lori at (970) 396-6294.
