fireworks-red-white-blue_tx700Here are the best places we've found where you'll be able to see professional fireworks displays on Independence Day (July 4th, 2013). The holiday falls on a Thursday this year and there should be plenty of fireworks to enjoy in Northern Colorado.

We'll update this with any more info as we get closer to The Fourth of July, but if you know of a fireworks display that is not listed, shoot me an email or post it in the comments below. (Last year, many of the shows were cancelled or postponed due to the fire danger, let's hope we don't have a repeat of that in 2013!)

Fort Collins, Colorado -

Fort Collins has an all day celebration at City Park that includes; the Firecracker 5K followed by a golf tournament, and Old Timer's game, a parade, baseball game, live music and fireworks. Fort Collins also has a 4th of July parade that starts at 9:30AM.

Loveland, Colorado -

Greeley, Colorado -

Fireworks will happen at the Greeley Stampede at Island Grove Regional Park. They will start at approximately 10pm following the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra performance.

Estes Park, Colorado -

Earlier this year I read that the Fireworks have been cancelled for this year, but there will still be a 'Red, White, and Cool'  celebration of family activities, food, and music at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park from 6:30 - 9:30PM on July 3rd. However, Estes Park also lists the Old Glory Carnival on July 4th which says to "stay and watch the fireworks above Estes Park" at 9PM.

Red Feather Lakes -

Red Feather will host a hold a Fourth of July celebration on "the first Saturday in July. Library book sale, crafts Fair at the Property Owners Association building and the Fire House; parade; fireworks display at dusk."

Wellington, Colorado -

Wellington will host a Fourth of July Parade in the morning followed by a family fun fest at Library Park with foods, crafts, kids zone, cake/cookie walk, motorcycle stunt show,  live entertainment music by 'Barely Gettin’ By', and fireworks at dusk near Library Park

Windsor, Colorado -

The Town of Windsor will have a July 4th 4-legged 4Run/Walk  at Boardwalk Park and Windsor Lake in the morning. They will have live music at Boardwalk Park on the afternoon of July 4th 2013, as part of their summer concert series featuring The Jurassicasters. A professional fireworks show over Windsor Lake will follow the concert at dark.

Now, enjoy video of last year's finale in Fort Collins, just to get you warmed up for the 2013 celebrations.
