11-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Shot in Weld County

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — An 11-year-old boy has died after being shot in the chest near Evans.
The Greeley Tribune reports that the boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition after the shooting around 5:15 p.m. Friday. Weld County coroner’s officials said the boy died at the hospital about an hour later.
Weld County Sheriff’s spokesman Tim Schwartz tells the Denver Post that the boy’s 18-year-old brother was arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Sheriff’s officials didn’t immediately disclose further details of the arrest or how the shooting occurred.
