If you're a fan of the TV series The League (like me), then you know that fantasy football is mostly considered a territory for guys.

However, over 20 million women are putting that stereotype to the test.

A new study shows that one in five women are playing fantasy football, about half of that number play for cash, raising the stakes even higher.

From a fan's perspective, fantasy leagues were just waiting to happen. What does a fan want more of? To feel like they are part of the team. To feel like they'd be able to call the shots in the big game. To feel like, or even be, a coach.

That's what fantasy leagues offer. Depending on level of committment and engagement, a person could spend the whole week working on their fantasy lineup.
Or, for those that don't want to go all in, it can take just a few minutes.

While fantasy sports are not something I've gotten into, I can see why they are so popular, and kudos to these ladies for enjoying them as well!
